Mississippi Parking area Collapses, Swallowing More Than Twelve Autos

Authorities in Meridian, Mississippi, are attempting to figure out what brought about an enormous slash - longer than a football field - to tear through an IHOP parking garage, gulping more than twelve autos in the mud beneath.

The parking area aired out Saturday night, unnerving the group in the occupied eatery.

"One of the workers kept running over to the window and hollers 'Quake,'" said Noah Mathis, who was in the eatery when it happened. "Everybody went into a frenzy."

In spite of the fact that sections of cement tore open, making the monstrous hole 15 feet profound, nobody was harmed.

"Everything was sudden and fast," Mathis said. "They were hammering their forks down from eating and they were sprinting outside as speedy as possible."

Crisis work force said an underground deplete channel broken down, however it was not clear why. Authorities say the examination has not decided out the likelihood that development at the recently opened IHOP played a contributing component.
